Alberta window tint law
Alberta's rules are stricter than many drivers expect. Under provincial regulation, tint film is not permitted on the windshield or on the windows immediately to the left and right of the driver, except under an approved medical exemption (which requires a minimum 50% combined visible light transmittance). Tint is generally permitted on rear-seat windows and the rear windshield.
